PhD student in Industrial Mechanical Systems
NICOLÓ SAPORITI is PostDoc Researcher in Mechanical Industrial Plants at the School of Industrial Engineering of LIUC – Carlo Cattaneo University. His areas of expertise include Operations and Lean Management, with a particular focus on Industry 4.0, Data Analytics, and Digital Twin.
At LIUC - Carlo Cattaneo University, he teaches in the course "Manufacturing Systems" and participates in the research and development activities of the i-FAB laboratory.
He has been involved in projects integrating and developing data collection and processing systems for Operations management, as well as advanced simulation systems to support production or operator training in virtual reality. Currently, he is conducting research on the adoption criteria of the Digital Twin in companies and evaluating the impact of this technology on production systems. He collaborates with renowned foreign universities where he has studied, such as the NTNU - Norwegian University of Science and Technology (Trondheim, Norway) and TUHH - Technische Universität Hamburg (Hamburg, Germany).
